Back Pain Exercise – One Simple Exercise You Need To Know

If you are experiencing lower back pain you are not alone. In America, over 37 million patients all have made this their chief complaint when seeing their doctor. They may be in to see the doctor on some unrelated issue and they will invariable mention the pain and discomfort they feel.

A distinction needs to be made here between just your ordinary “I am getting older” stiffness and obvious pain. This tip can and will help you to going faster than the alternative. Now what you want to do is avoid just taking it easy. Taking a seat in your recliner and watching television long and hard won’t help you. If you just jump up and start moving again you may injure yourself more severely.

While standing upright, just allow your hands to hang at your sides. Now, lift your hands and arms up so that they are right in front of you. Imagine that you are carrying a gigantic ball directly in front of you. Now, turn as far as you can to your right and be careful not to over-stretch when starting out. Hold that posture for 5 counts to yourself or aloud. Repeat this in the opposite direction and again hold that posture for 5 counts more. You want to slowly build up to doing this simple exercise for 3 sets of 5 repetitions each way.

The main reason for the above back pain exercise is to get your body moving again. The worse thing you could do would be to take on a sedentary lifestyle. This is the wisest route to take. Considering that when you exercise, your body is circulating vitamins and minerals that you get from your diet. It also has many more advantages including improving your circulatory system.

If you are very eager about getting well, don’t just let your new back pain stretch exercise hold you back. Take a nice walk around your neighborhood on a lovely sunny day. Your body again will benefit from the exposure to the sun (vitamins D) and the aerobic exercise will do wonders for your heart and blood systems as well.
